This support article provides instruction how to troubleshoot common connection and printing issues with the Dymo LabelWriter printers.

Solution:

The following instructions resolve common issues with the Dymo LabelWriter printer models, and should be addressed in order, prior to sending a support ticket:

  1. Paper jam: Confirm that there is no paper jam with the paper spool. You should also force a feed reset by using the feed reset button to clear anything that may have triggered the sensor. Referenced below:

  2. Print queue: Confirm all pending print jobs are removed from the print queue:

  3. Connection: Confirm the Dymo LabelWriter printer is physically connected and online. You can disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to confirm it is connected and detected by the computer.
  4. Dymo Connect service: Confirm that the Dymo Connect printing service is running correctly:

  5. Print driver: Sometimes the print driver can be confused how the Dymo printer is configured with the signed in user (usually due to multiple users signed in previously). Performing a restart will address this problem.
